A new study suggests people are more trusting of robots than their own managers

According to a new study conducted by Oracle, 64% of those who were surveyed said they would trust a robot more than they do their managers. These employees also said that they were excited about having new technologies in the workplace, especially if the technologies help them learn new skills or gain more free time.

The Swedish furniture giant Ikea has purchased Geomagical Labs, an AI imaging startup, for an undisclosed amount to bring an innovative room visualization technique to its customers. Using Geomagical Labs' imaging technology, users will be able to take a picture of any room with any smartphone, remove the furniture present and be able to decorate the room virtually from scratch using Ikea furniture.

Content moderation startup Unitary raises £1.3 million

Founded by Sasha Haco, who previously worked with Stephen Hawking on black holes, Unitary is an artificial intelligence content moderation startup that aims to detect dangerous or malicious content automatically from the hundreds of hours of video uploaded to the internet every minute. Unitary just raised 1.3 million GBP in seed funding from Rocket Internet's GFC, Jane VC, SGH Capital, and several anonymous angel investors.
