Ed-tech venture Lingumi raises £4 million in funds

Lingumi, a London and Cardiff-based ed-tech startup focused on teaching pre-school children critical skills, has successfully raised 4 million GBP of funding, with China-based technology fund North Summit Capital leading the round. Lingumi started offering their first course on spoken English in China last year, and also plan on offering daily free content packs and videos to support users during the COVID-19 crisis.

The Canadian quantum computing startup D-Wave has announced that they will provide free cloud access to their quantum processors for any researchers that are working to develop solutions to the COVID-19 crisis. Health tech startup Kry launches free video consultation service

A Swedish health tech startup called Kry has launched a free service that will let doctors perform video consultations amid the coronavirus crisis. The web-based platform, called Care Connect by Kry, will not require doctors to have a Kry account to avail the free service, and consultations will be protected with encryption. The service is launching soon in Europe with support for 10 languages.
