American Airlines to offer cargo flights for the first time since 1987
American Airlines has decided to re-introduce cargo-only flights to its schedule, for the first time since 1987, due to shrinking operations caused by travel bans imposed internationally to control the spread of the coronavirus pandemic coupled with lower consumer demand. All major US airlines have suspended international passenger flights, with Delta Airlines joining American in using passenger planes for moving cargo.

Delta Airlines posts worst loss since 2008

Emirates to resume passenger flights from May 21
Emirates has announced that it will resume scheduled passenger flights to a total of nine destinations from May 21. The destinations are: London Heathrow Frankfurt, Paris, Milan, Madrid, Chicago, Toronto, Sydney, and Melbourne. The airline will also offer connections in Dubai for customers travelling between the UK and Australia. These flights will be available for booking on the official website (emirates.com)

World’s second-oldest airline files for bankruptcy
Colombian airline Avianca, which was founded in 1919 is the world’s second-oldest airline.
