Chess world champion Magnus Carlsen loses Grand Tour semi-final

Despite having a record-breaking year winning 8 elite chess tournaments, Norwegian chess world champion Magnus Carlsen has been seen erring constantly in the speedier versions of the game. While his unbeaten streak in classical chess has now crossed a record 100 games, Carlsen blundered against French opponent Maxime Vachier-Lagrave in the deciding blitz game of the Grand Tour's semi final, and will play Levon Aronian for the third position.
