Yang Jiechi, one of China's top diplomats, told US secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, that the US needs to stop interfering in China's internal affairs. In this statement, he referenced the US's new Hong kong support bill as well as the Uighur Human Rights Policy Act. China formally condemned both of these laws.
