DNA test forces Belgian former king to concede paternity case
A statement released by the legal team of Belgium's former monarch Albert II has agreed to halt a court case after the results of a DNA test proved that Delphine Boel, 51-year-old Belgian artist, was his child fathered through an extra-marital relationship. Paternity rumors first started circulating in 1999 but Albert II, as a sitting monarch, could not be prosecuted until his abdication in 2013 due to health reasons.
