FBI warns against dangers of Russian FaceApp

The US Federal Bureau of Investigation released a letter written to US Senator Chuck Schumer warning against the Russian-developed FaceApp and similar mobile applications that were made in Russia, saying they might pose national security risks to the country. The app exploded in popularity earlier in 2019 and allows users to manipulate images of themselves.

A new app from Stanford Medicine built with Apple 's help will help connect firefighters, police officers and paramedics in California to drive-through COVID-19 testing if they are showing symptoms of the coronavirus.
Apple helped Stanford Medicine with some of the development, Harrington said. Apple released a COVID-19 app with a screening survey that Americans can download, but it does't direct users to test sites.

UK researchers' coronavirus tracking app goes viral

A startup called Zoe has, in collaboration with King's College Hospital in London, launched a viral app for self-reporting COVID-19 symptoms, called C-19 COVID Symptom Tracker, garnering over 750,000 downloads in the last 24 hours, becoming the third most popular app on Apple's app store. The app is not designed for diagnosis, but rather to help medical professionals better plan their responses, and will soon be released in the US.
