Final Fantasy VII Remake's Launch Has Been a Disaster in Some Parts of Asia

Players in countries such as Hong Kong, the Philippines, and Singapore are furious with Sony after they mistakenly purchased the Chinese/Korean language version of the title, rather than the English/Japanese edition advertised.
Our guess is that it will just give all digital owners of the game access to both versions, so they can download their preferred language.

Asian streaming startup Hooq admits failure, will be liquidated

Hooq, a streaming service focused on Asian markets operating in India, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, and the Phillippines, backed by Singapore telecom group Singtel, Sony Picture and Warner Bros Entertainment, has filed for liquidation after admitting that it cannot sustain growth for its investors amid the current climate, with content providers choosing to reach customers directly instead of through a third-party provider.

Developers back out of GDC over coronavirus fears

This year's Game Developers Conference is seeing developers withdraw one after the other due to rising fears of a coronavirus pandemic, with Amazon Game Tech, a Diamond partner at the GDC, the latest developer to announced that they will not be participating in the event, instead opting for a live online event. Facebook, Microsoft, Sony, Unity, and Epic have also backed out of the event.

Sony unveils official PS5 website, details to be revealed soon
