German gunman kills 9 in shisha bar massacre

A suspect referred to as Tobias R, a 43-year-old resident in the German city of Hanau with a population of 100,000 people, attacked two shisha lounges in the city, fatally shooting 9 people in an assault believed by police to have been racially motivated. The authorities later found Tobias R and his mother dead in his apartment, and suspect that the shooter killed his mother and then himself.
