Germany is hiring more security officials to hunt down Neo-Nazis

The German government has created 600 more jobs, 300 in the police and 300 in the intelligence services, to stop the rise of far-right neo-nazi movements within the country. The country has faced a number of scandals involving high ranking officials who had sympathies with the Nazi movement. The government is taking a pro-active approach to fighting the rise of intolerance.

Merkel resumes duties as German chancellor ending self-quarantine

German Chancellor Angela Merkel has come out of self-quarantine and has returned to her duties in government. She had to go into quarantine after getting a vaccine from a doctor who was later found to have the virus. She tested negative for the virus on Friday and no longer needs to work from home.

German minister kills himself due to 'coronavirus worry'

Thomas Schaefer, one of Germany's finance ministers, has committed suicide after becoming 'deeply worried' over the economic impact of the coronavirus. He was found dead near a railway track on Saturday and the authorities say they believe it was a suicide. He had previously been helping companies deal with the coronavirus lockdown.

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan has accused Greece's security forces of behaving like Nazis when dealing with migrants trying to cross into the country from Turkey. Greece has been using tear gas and water cannons to deter the migrants from crossing over and has even been accused of using live rounds.
