They revealed this in a new draft of a proposal that intends to regulate the use of AI technology in the future. Facebook has created a new facial recognition app that allows employees to identify people by simply pointing their phone cameras at them. The software taps into the vast number of identities and pictures that Facebook has access to. Although the app is currently only available to employees and only works on those who consent to be part of the facial recognition database.
