Indonesia to introduce fixed fees for e-wallet purchases

Sources close to the Indonesian government have revealed that the country's e-wallet payment startups, some of which are backed by Chinese retail giant Alibaba, might soon be forced to charge a fixed fee on e-wallet transactions, with the revenue earned being divided between the company itself, any middle man transaction processing business, and the National Electronic Transaction settlement.
