Innovative messaging app Flip raises $4m

Flip, an employee messaging service based out of Stuttgart, Germany has successfully raised 3.6 million EUR, almost 4 million USD, from investing firms LEA Partners and Cavalry Ventures, and several others. Flip capitalizes on the rising trend of workplace-specific messaging apps such as Threema and Staffbase to offer a messaging service that keeps all relevant employees in a project or company informed of progress in a legally compliant manner.

Asian streaming startup Hooq admits failure, will be liquidated

Health tech startup Kry launches free video consultation service

A Swedish health tech startup called Kry has launched a free service that will let doctors perform video consultations amid the coronavirus crisis. The web-based platform, called Care Connect by Kry, will not require doctors to have a Kry account to avail the free service, and consultations will be protected with encryption. The service is launching soon in Europe with support for 10 languages.
