More than 1 Million “Dead” Americans received $1.4 Billion stimulus checks

According to the latest report by the U.S. Government Accountability Office, more than 1 million dead Americans received a coronavirus stimulus payment totaling over $1.4 billion. The findings come as a part of a review of how federal agencies have been administering the coronavirus relief spending by the government. The IRS currently doesn't have a plan to take additional steps to notify ineligible recipients on how to return payments
