Rejecting India's illegal occupation of Kashmir, Black Day being observed by Pakistan on October 27th

On Sunday the 27th of October, the nation observed ‘Black Day’ in solidarity of Kashmir and to protest its illegal occupation by India. Prime Minister Imran Khan, addressing the Kashmiri people assured them that, as their spokesperson, he would continue his struggle to ensure they get their rights. “Pakistan stands by you”, stated the Prime Minister defiantly, as he condemned India for its atrocities.

Militant chief Hafiz Saeed sentenced to prison in Pakistan

Pakistan's anti-terrorism court has sentenced Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, the leader of a prominent militant group, the Lashkar-e-Taiba, and the alleged mastermind behind the 2008 Mumbai terrorist assault that left 160 dead, to five and a half years in jail for terrorism financing, fulfilling longstanding demands from the Indian and United States administrations.

Indian occupied Kashmir shutdown due to mass strike

Shops and businesses in Indian occupied Kashmir have shut down due to a strike called by the Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front. The strike is in memory of the Kashmiri that the Indian government executed for playing a part in an attack on Parliament in 2001. The government is legally persecuting the JKLF for the strike.

India allows access to just 300 websites in occupied Kashmir

The Indian government has allowed people in Kashmir to access just 300 whitewashed websites after nearly six months of no internet access. The people there still cannot access social media and do not have access to fast internet speeds. This internet ban persists despite a large amount of pressure from both the Indian Supreme Court and the international community.
