Scientists make solar power cheaper with seemingly impossible breakthrough

Scientists working at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory have managed to create solar cells that are just as efficient as the MOVPE type but significantly cheaper. By using aluminum in the top layer of the cell in a cost-effective way, they have created significantly more power-efficient solar panels.

Japan opens world's largest hydrogen plant

The world's largest hydrogen plant has been opened in Fukushima, Japan and it is entirely solar-powered. The plant can produce enough Hydrogen to fill 560 fuel cell vehicles daily and will transport this gas to city centers in special containers. The facility is still in its testing phase and has not found the optimal production cycle yet.
