Switzerland population votes in favor of momentous new LGBT protection bill

Switzerland has voted in favor of a bill that will make discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation illegal. Around 61% of the population was in favor of the bill although discrimination based on race and religion is still legal in the country. A same-sex marriage bill is currently going through Parliament.
