This year's Critics Choice Lifetime Achievement Award to go to Eddie Murphy

The Critics Choice Association has announced that this year's lifetime achievement award will go to Eddie Murphy. While making the announcement they noted that Murphy was one of the most commercially successful African American actors in history, having played a number of iconic roles over the course of his career.

Roman Polanski best director award sparks controversy as actresses walkout

Roman Polanski, the director of 'An Officer and A Spy', won the best director award at the French Ceaser awards, sparking a large amount of controversy. A number of actresses walked out of the venue after the award was announced and a hundred protestors gathered outside.
