Trump refuses to ease Iran sanctions for negotiations

Responding to Iranian foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif's statement that Iran would only be open to negotiations with the US once sanctions were lifted, US president Donald Trump posted "No thanks!" on Twitter, closing the doors on possible future negotiations amid rising tensions after a US airstrike on an airport in Baghdad, Iraq killed top Iranian military official Major General Qassem Soleimani.
