Two K-pop celebrities convicted for rape

Jung Joon-young, Korean TV talent show star, and Choi Jong-hoon, star of bestselling K-pop band, were sentenced to six and five years in prison, respectively, by the South Korean court on multiple counts of raping intoxicated women, taking nude pictures of a pornographic nature and disseminating them online without the victims' permission. Both have publicly expressed deep remorse for their actions.

American rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine, real name Daniel Hernandez, who is currently serving a two-year sentence until August 2020 after pleading guilty to nine charges, which included conspiracy to murder, racketeering, and assault with a dangerous weapon, is set to be released today after appealing to a New York judge that he is vulnerable to the coronavirus infection, having suffered from bronchitis, asthma and sinusitis earlier in the year.

A unique streaming service that supports local theaters

Around 150 theatres from across the US have banded together to support the Kino Marquee initiative.
