Uninvited guests are Crashing Zoom Meetings

Zoom is an American video conferencing app and gained massive popularity in recent days, but there is an issue. The default settings of Zoom are configured in such a way that allows trolls to invade meetings, in what is now known as “zoombombing.” Some “zoombombers” have taken advantage of the app’s screen-sharing feature to join online meetings uninvited, and at times showing inappropriate content such as violent images and pornography.

According to the data gathered by app analytics firm Sensor Tower, Zoom topped the list of the most downloaded non-gaming apps worldwide in April 2020. The video-conferencing app got a total of 131 million downloads in April. Sensor Tower’s report says “The countries with the most installs of the app during this period were India at 18.2%of its total downloads and the United States at 14.3%”.
