13 French soldiers killed in Mali helicopter crash

French President Emmanuel Macron's office has released a statement disclosing the deaths of 13 French soldiers who were killed in a helicopter crash in Mali while conducting anti-jihadist operations. The crash occurred due to the collision of two helicopters while in the air, and marks the deaths of 38 French soldiers since the country started conducting military interventions in the region.

French government prepare for what could be the largest strike in years

Unions all over France are coordinating what could be the largest workers strike in the country in decades. The strike is occurring in response to President Emmanuel Macron's plans to reform the pension system. Public transport has been completely abandoned and people are being encouraged to stay away from the Eiffel tower as that is where the demonstrations are expected to happen.

Convicted jihadist assaults on London Bridge, 2 dead

Usman Khan, a 28-year-old who was previously imprisoned for planning a terrorist attack along with several others, armed himself with a knife and assaulted pedestrians on London Bridge, leaving a man and a woman dead and another two injured from the wounds. Khan was apprehended by two passersby who defended themselves with a fire extinguisher and a narwhal tusk, before police arrived on the scene.
