5.4-magnitude earthquake strikes off coast of Puerto Rico

The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake hit near the city of Ponce, in a region where hundreds of homes were destroyed in a January temblor, the Associated Press reported. There were no immediate reports of casualties, the AP said. Cracks in homes were reported in the town of Guayanilla, where spokesman Danny Hernández said, “Everything shook really hard.”
