Australia postpones religious freedom bill to 2020

The Australian parliament started considering a new religious freedom bill this summer aimed at providing protections prohibiting religious discrimination against members of a particular faith. However, the proposed bill drew much criticism for providing privileges to the religious that were not granted to others, and the Australian government has announced it will redraft the bill and propose an amended version in 2020.
