Bollywood star Deepika Padukone joins JNU university student protests

The 34-year-old Bollywood star Deepika Padukone, while in New Delhi promoting her new movie Chhapaak, joined the students of India's elite institution Jawaharlal Nehru University in protests against the suspected involvement of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party in an attack on a recent student demonstration in JNU. Students and teachers were protesting against a hike in hostel charges when they were assaulted and broken up by masked armed men.

Superstar Amitabh Bachchan got admitted to Nanavati Hospital after he and his son Abhishek Bachchan were both tested positive late Saturday evening. And soon after Abhishek Bachchan's wife, the heralded actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, also entered the hospital. The couple's daughter tested positive for Covid-19 too

World-famous chef Floyd Cardoz dies of coronavirus

Floyd Cardoz, the 59-year-old world-famous chef and winner of Bravo's third season of Top Chef Masters, has died after being diagnosed with the COVID-19 infection. Cardoz was recently admitted to a hospital in New York with a viral fever after returning from a trip to India, where he was filming the popular Netflix series Ugly Delicious with comedian Aziz Ansari.
