He won 6-2, 7-6 against Nadal, tying the two countries' scores 1-1 since Serbian Dusan Lajovic lost to Spain's Roberto Bautista 7-5, 6-1, and then went on to clinch a 6-3 6-4 doubles victory with partner Viktor Troicki to win the ATP Cup for Serbia.
