Hooq, a streaming service focused on Asian markets operating in India, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, and the Phillippines, backed by Singapore telecom group Singtel, Sony Picture and Warner Bros Entertainment, has filed for liquidation after admitting that it cannot sustain growth for its investors amid the current climate, with content providers choosing to reach customers directly instead of through a third-party provider.
