According to Mercer's newly-released Cost of Living Survey, Asian financial hub Hong Kong has been ranked the most expensive in the world for expats to live and work. The most surprising city this year has been Ashgabat. The Turkmenistan capital might not spring to mind when listing deep-pocket destinations, but Ashgabat is now the world's second most expensive city for overseas workers. Tokyo ranked third
