Iconic thriller author Clive Cussler dead at 88

Clive Cussler, an iconic American novelist who penned more than 80 adventure thrillers with 17 New York Times bestsellers, has died aged 88 due to unknown reasons. Cussler has sold upwards of 100 million books globally and amassed a fortune of 120 million USD. He was also an enthusiastic underwater explorer, with his National Underwater and Marine Agency helping authorities find more than 60 shipwreck sites.
