Andrew Weatherall, one of the UK's most well-known DJs and music producers, passed away in a hospital while being treated for a pulmonary embolism. The 56-year-old rose to fame during the acid house era and worked with popular bands like New Order and Happy Mondays, also receiving acclaim for his production of Primal Scream's Screamadelica, which won the 1992 Mercury Prize.
