India reports 45,720 new coronavirus cases, the biggest single-day jump so far

According to the latest numbers released by the Union Health Ministry, India reported 45,720 COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours. The total confirmed COVID-19 cases in India have risen to 1,238,635. The country also reported 1,129 new deaths as the total number of deaths reached 29,861. India is now at number 3 in the overall list of coronavirus cases behind the US and Brazil
