Indian app successfully reunited thousands of missing kids with parents
Police in the southern Indian state of Telangana developed a facial recognition app as part of the operation smile. According to the police, the app will be a game-changer in tackling the child trafficking problem in India. The police scanned more than 3,000 records on the app and reunited more than 1,500 kids with their families through facial recognition. Tens of thousands of children go missing in India every year.
