Indian coronavirus cases jump above 1.5 million

The total number of coronavirus cases in India jumped above 1.5 million on Tuesday with the last 0.5 million cases reported in just 12 days. India reported more than 49,000 coronavirus cases on Tuesday, second-highest ever reported after Sunday’s tally of 50,000 COVID-19 cases according to the numbers released by the Union Health Ministry.
