Iran blames 'coronavirus propaganda' for low election turnout
The Iranian government announced this Sunday that the turnout for the parliamentary election was at 42%, the lowest it has been since 1979. The government claimed that this low turnout was caused by Iran's enemies who played up the coronavirus threat in order to stop people from voting. Many see the low turnout as a sign of the decreasing popularity of the regime.
