Japan’s weird Naked Festival attracted more than 10,000 people

More than 10,000 male participants attended the wild Hadaka Matsuri festival at the Saidaiji Kannonin Temple, about a 30-minute train ride from Okayama city. The festival celebrates the harvest, prosperity, and fertility on the third Saturday of February every year. The festival started around 500 years ago during the Muromachi Period where participants attend naked during the extremely chilly weather.
