Large energy company given permission to drill for oil in Australian bight

The Australian government has given environmental approval to Equinor, a Norwegian energy company, to drill for oil in the Australian bight. The company has claimed that the drilling can be done safely although environmental groups have raised some concerns regarding the decision. These groups have claimed that no scientists or environmentalists were consulted when this decision was made.

Oil prices dip after Russia ends cooperation with OPEC

US suspends autonomous shuttle program due to injuries

US safety regulators have suspended a new public transport program that was using 16 electric autonomous shuttles to provide better transport to an underdeveloped neighborhood. It was suspended after a passenger was injured due to an unexpected braking incident. Regulators will now re-evaluate the safety regulations that should have prevented such an incident.
