Spanish tennis legend and world number one Rafael Nadal struggled against Australian opponent Nick Kyrgios, finally managing to clinch his fourth-round win with a 6-3 3-6 7-6 7-6 victory over Kyrgios in his toughest match yet at the Australian Open. Nadal proceeds to the quarter-finals where he will face world number 5 Austrian Dominic Thiem, who defeated Roger Federer to win the ATP Masters in 2019.

Football coach Francisco Garcia dies from coronavirus

Francisco Garcia, the 21-year-old youth coach for the junior team of the Malaga-based football club Atletico Portada Alta, has died after he was diagnosed with the coronavirus. Garcia suffered from leukemia, which had gone undiagnosed until he was in the hospital receiving care for his COVID-19 diagnosis, with the underlying condition making him more susceptible to succumb to the virus.
