Slack thinks Microsoft Teams is not its competition

In a recent 10-Q filing, Slack lists Microsoft Corporation as its "primary competitor." The company also took out a full-page "open-letter" ad in the New York Times three years ago pointed directly at the Redmond-based tech powerhouse.
Teams saw a surge of growth late last year as Microsoft pushed it on its customers, eventually surpassing Slack's count by 8 million with over 20 million active users.

The Swedish furniture giant Ikea has purchased Geomagical Labs, an AI imaging startup, for an undisclosed amount to bring an innovative room visualization technique to its customers. Using Geomagical Labs' imaging technology, users will be able to take a picture of any room with any smartphone, remove the furniture present and be able to decorate the room virtually from scratch using Ikea furniture.

Apple bought the Dark Sky app and has shut donw its Android verison, Along with the death of the Android app, Dark Sky’s API (application programming interface) will no longer be available for others to use, meaning that other popular apps like Carrot Weather that rely on the API will have to find an alternative solution, although they’ll be given until the end of 2021 to do so.

Facebook sued by Australia over Cambridge Analytica data breach for billions

Australia's privacy watchdog is suing Facebook for the 2018 Cambridge Analytica data breach. The suit could potentially cost Facebook a whopping $529 billion, making it one of the largest suits Facebook has ever faced. Australia claims that Facebook allowed the personal data of 311,127 Australian Facebook users to be used by Analytica without their consent.
