Study finds huge regional disparities in the UK

Researchers at the thinktank IPPR North discovered that in some areas of England, the mortality rates were higher than Turkey, Romania, and Poland. Their findings uncovered huge regional disparities in income and development between the region around London and the rest of the country, with an average difference of 48,000 GBP in the incomes of the richest and the poorest citizens.
