Study of past astronomical data discovers mysterious missing stars

A team of Swedish astronomers working under the name "Vanishing and Appearing Sources during a Century of Observations" analysed data from the US Naval Observatory from the 1950s, and found that it contained about a hundred stars that were not in current astronomical data. Explanations for the missing stars range from unknown physical phenomena to possible alien civilizations.

Health tech startup Kry launches free video consultation service

A Swedish health tech startup called Kry has launched a free service that will let doctors perform video consultations amid the coronavirus crisis. The web-based platform, called Care Connect by Kry, will not require doctors to have a Kry account to avail the free service, and consultations will be protected with encryption. The service is launching soon in Europe with support for 10 languages.

Ericsson cancels Barcelona meet amid Coronavirus fears

Swedish telecom company Ericsson has announced its withdrawal from this year's Mobile World Congress, arranged by GSMA, to be held in Barcelona, Spain, stating it could not sufficiently guarantee the safety of its employees attending the conference due to the worsening Coronavirus outbreak. The MWC is slated to have an attendance of over 100,000 visitors and has been under increasing scrutiny by the World Health Organization.
