Tensions rise in Turkey-Greece maritime dispute

In a move that circumvents the European Union's laws, Turkey has announced that it has reached an agreement with Libya delineating maritime territories, which includes a swath of territory claimed by Greece. The territories concerned are considered ripe for oil exploration. Greece has deferred to international law on the matter, with the EU dismissing the legal status of the Turkey-Libya agreement.

Prosecutors in Istanbul have said that they have prepared an indictment against 20 suspects in the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul. China removes American journalists as US-China dispute escalates

China is withdrawing the press credentials of American journalists in response to America's new restrictions on Chinese journalists.
