Thiem defeats Nadal in massive upset at Australian Open

At the Australian Open's quarter-finals, Austrian player Dominic Thiem defeated world number one Rafael Nadal in a hard-fought battle which saw him winning 7-6, 7-6, 4-6, 7-6 against Nadal, who was the top-seed throughout the tournament. Thiem proceeds to the semi-finals to face Alexander Zverev, who defeated Stan Wawrinka to earn a place at his first semi-finals at a major.

India to inaugurate the world's largest cricket stadium in Motera

The Board of Control for Cricket in India is soon to inaugurate the world's largest cricket stadium in the city of Motera in Gujarat, named the Sardar Patel Stadium after the iconic freedom fighter. At a seating capacity of 110,000, the stadium will greatly surpass the capacity of the current record holder, Australia's Melbourne Cricket Stadium, which can accommodate 90,000.
