TikTok launches a parental control feature in the UK

TikTok is introducing a 'Family-Safety-Mode' allowing parents to set controls limiting app usage by their teenagers. The parent/guardian is responsible for managing these settings for their teens and no settings can be changed without their involvement. These parental controls, however, are a subset of the controls users can enable for themselves to limit screen-time. TikTok has also produced video-series encouraging users to take a break from their phones.
