Twitter bans a massive number of fake accounts using the new feature

Twitter has announced that it has banned a large network of fake accounts using a new feature that lets them connect phone numbers to user accounts. Many of these accounts were based in Iran, Israel, and Malaysia despite the fact that Iran has banned Twitter in the country, suggesting government involvement.
