Uber launches ride audio-recording feature in US

Uber has announced a new feature in the US which will allow both drivers and passengers to audio-record their rides as an added precaution. Drivers can choose to have the feature on by default, while users must activate it through the Safety Toolkit section in the Uber app. Neither drivers nor passengers will have access to the recordings, they will only be used as evidence in customer complaints.
