The UK-based rent-to-own retail chain Brighthouse, which has more than 240 branches in the country and allows consumers to buy expensive household items by making small payments over a long period, has announced that due to shop closures spurred by coronavirus restrictions, it will no longer be offering new lending, but instead will only collect its outstanding loans before shutting down.
