US and France to resolve digital tax dispute within two weeks

French finance minister Bruno Le Maire has stated that following rising tensions between France and United States over France's introduction of a new 'digital tax' regime affecting mostly the large US tech firms, he has been engaged in a lengthy discussion with US Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin to find a reasonable compromise within exactly two weeks, ahead of the World Economic Forum meet in Switzerland's Davos ski resort.
