What went wrong with Singapore’s coronavirus efforts?

Singapore added 1,111 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours as cases jumped above 9,000. Yesterday, the country added a record 1,426 cases. The vast majority of the new cases are work permit holders residing in foreign worker dormitories. A total of 19 foreign worker dormitories have been gazetted as isolation areas, following a recent spike in the number of COVID-19 cases among foreign workers in Singapore
