Youtube lowers video quality to preserve bandwidth as demand surges
Youtube has announced that all of the videos on its platform will now default to Standard Definition in order to conserve bandwidth. Demand for the service has grown by a large amount during the coronavirus quarantine and this has placed a huge burden on broadband providers who may not be able to keep up.
