15-year-old Ugandan Disney film star Nikita Waligwa dead due to brain tumor

Nikita Pearl Waligwa, Ugandan star in the Disney film Queen of Katwe, has died at 15 years of age due to a brain tumor. Waligwa was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2016, and Queen of Katwe director Mira Nair campaigned to raise funds for her treatment in India. She had been cleared by doctors but was diagnosed with another tumor in 2019 which she could not survive.

American comedian, actor, writer, and producer Carl Reiner died at the age of 98. He died of natural causes on Monday night at his home in Beverly Hills, California.
